Questions about swimming? Don’t worry; we got you.

What COVID mitigation protocols are in place?

For the safety of our community, swimhappy will be operating at outdoor pools May through October, as well as select indoor pools year-round. Masking is encouraged when indoors on the pool deck. Swimmers are required to be vaccinated against COVID. Medical and other exceptions will be made on an individual needs-based case. Contact Karissa with any questions, comments or concerns you may have.

Vaccination is the key element in a multi-layered approach to protect others, particularly those who are vulnerable and high risk. swimhappy enthusiastically encourages community cooperation in the implementation of a multilayered approach to help mitigate the spread of COVID. Vaccinate. Mask. Distance. Test.

Instruction and/or coaching from the pool deck is optional for water-safe swimmers, as well as child and caregiver classes.

If any swimmer or a family member has been exposed to COVID, it is required you to submit proof of a negative test result before resuming swim lessons. If a swimmer has any symptoms associated with COVID-19 it is required to submit a negative test result to resume lessons. Both PCR and rapid antigen tests are acceptable. If a swimmer or family member is feeling ill, please do not attend swim lessons.

Are swimhappy instructors vaccinated against COVID?

YES!

Karissa is ‘fully’ vaccinated, boosted and COVID-cautious.

Coach Mary is also vaccinated and boosted against COVID.

How do I jump onboard for swim lessons?

Please complete the contact form on the site. You’ll automatically be added to the listserv and will receive all swimhappy updates, including registration info, via our newsletter! Online scheduling is available for mobile swim lessons as availability permits.

What days, times and where are lessons available?

Please see our schedule and join our listserv via our contact form for the latest information sent direct to your inbox.

I’m interested in mobile swim lessons but cannot commit to a particular day and time, or my preferred time isn’t available. Can I schedule individual lessons?

Yes! Once you’ve completed the contact form, and submitted proof of vaccination, swimmers may schedule mobile lessons at their pool.

Oh no! I can’t make it to our scheduled swim lesson. What if I need to cancel?

Things happen! Kids get sick, and the weather can be unpredictable. As soon as you know you cannot attend a lesson, please cancel or reschedule through the Calendly link in your email. If it is less than 48 hours prior to the start of lesson, kindly contact the swim instructor directly.

Make-up swim lessons are available in the event that lessons are canceled due to inclement weather prior to the start of the lesson. If a lesson has already begun, additional time may be added to subsequent lessons at the instructor’s discretion.

If you schedule 10 or more lessons a season, or are a reoccurring swimmer, you may make-up 1 lesson due to illness per season/quarterly.

How much do swimhappy lessons cost? How do I pay?

Prices are listed on the lessons page. Reoccurring monthly lessons and/or seasonal summer swim lessons must be paid in full in order to reserve lessons. PayPal invoices, and Stripe transactions via Calendly, are subject to an additional 2.9% online processing fee. Venmo payments now accepted with a 1.9% transaction fee to @beswimhappy. Personal checks may be made out to swimhappy Co. with NO FEES. There are NO REFUNDS.

Competent swimming is a necessary life skill which is why swimhappy offers a sliding scale payment option to make lessons more affordable for families, and individuals. Please contact Karissa to discuss payment accommodations if swim lessons are a financial hardship.

I have access to a pool. Can I have lessons at that location, or community pool?

Yes! As long as the pool allows instructors, we can provide mobile swim lessons at your location. Certificate of insurance available upon request.
