Swim Caps
swimhappy tip: adult swim caps fit most toddlers and children. Bright colors, especially neon, make it easier to spot swimmers.
Goggles
swimhappy tip: tinted lenses are best for outdoors, but never reflective lenses. Seeing swimmers’ eyes is important! With adult supervision, use in the bathtub for out of the pool fun and water adjustment for young swimmers.
Swim Shirts aka Rash Guards
swimhappy tip: the brighter and tighter the shirt, the better! Loose shirts cause drag in the water and slow swimmers down. Bright colors, especially neon, make it easier to spot swimmers. Think pink, red and orange!
Swim Bags
swimhappy tip: store your wet swimsuit and rash guard in the large part of your wet bag, and travel with your wet shoes in the front part.
Sunscreen
swimhappy tip: apply at least 30-minutes before swim lessons. Want to use less suncreen? Wear a rash guard for maximum coverage.
In the Pool: Diving Toys
swimhappy tip: Rings are fun for all ages! As swimmers grow in their ability, gems are every treasure seekers dream. Never jump or dive from the side of the pool for toys. With adult supervision, use in the bathtub for out of the pool fun and water adjustment for young swimmers.
In The Pool: Floating Toys
swimhappy tip: use with caution! Floating toys are equivalent to a ball rolling into the street; expect a child to go after it! Remove all objects from the pool when done.
Wetsuits
swimhappy tip: is your swimmer in between sizes? size up and roll the sleeves and shorts for maximum warmth!
